The Story

In film and television production, the gap between pre-production planning and post-production editing often creates friction. Crews manage schedules, gear, and people in one system, while editors work from fragmented notes, logs, and hard-to-track paper sheets. Critical details can be lost, syncing audio and video is laborious, and collaboration across the production cycle becomes inefficient.

That's why BIGBrave developed EVA Story, a production logging tool designed to seamlessly merge pre- and post-production into one fluid workflow.

  • Unify production workflows by connecting schedules, logs, and issue tracking in a single platform.

The Process

BIGBrave followed its design thinking framework to design EVA Story around the real needs of film production teams:

  • Researched on-set and post-production workflows to identify pain points like scattered notes and syncing challenges.
  • Worked with directors, editors, and producers to prioritise features such as issue flagging, timecode syncing, and collaborative notes.
  • Prototyped and refined a mobile-first tool that balanced simplicity for crews with powerful collaboration for editors.
  • Built and tested EVA Story with features including issue flagging, broadcast timecode stamps, story logging, real-time notes, and shoot-day scheduling.
The Process

The Result

EVA Story has transformed the way productions operate, with seamless integration between pre- and post-production, eliminating workflow gaps. Thanks to precise timecode stamps and detailed, contextual logs, post-production crews experience faster editing and better collaboration with directors and crews. Thanks to EVA Story, production teams have improved scheduling, giving producers visibility of people, roles, and resources at every shoot.

The result is a smoother, more connected production pipeline, allowing teams to focus less on administration and more on telling powerful stories.
